Informal meeting of Armenian media journalists and editors with the Minister of Environment

I had the pleasure of joining an informal meeting of Armenian media journalists and editors with the Minister of Environment, Mr. Hambardzum Matevosyan, and the UN Resident Coordinator, Ms. Françoise Jacob. I had the opportunity to speak about the readiness of the conservation community to work with mass media in raising public awareness about COP17 and related biodiversity issues and achievements. I also presented our activities within the Road to COP17 initiative, a joint effort of the Ministry of Environment, CBD Secretariat, and AUA Acopian Center for the Environment. The event was organized by our partners, The Armenia Project (TAP) and the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation.
